Putnam County Retired Teachers Association
                               Scholarship


The Putnam County Retired Teachers Association will award a $1000 scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year to a third or fourth year college student who aspires to become a future educator. The recipient must be a Putnam County high school graduate and an Indiana college/university student enrolled in an undergraduate program which will result in a degree in education.


Interested students must submit a letter of application which includes the applicant's name, current address, name of high school, and year of graduation. In addition, there must be a brief (1-2 page) description of personal interests and activities, experiences in a supervisory capacity with children and/or adults, and aspirations and progress toward a career as an educator.


Applicants must also include: a letter of recommendation from a Putnam County high school teacher (not a relative), a letter of recommendation and a scholastic transcript from the college/university verifying the applicant's current enrollment and academic status, and other information that the applicant feels as pertinent.

The deadline is April 10, 2025.
